Wine is pretty darn old.
Archaeological evidence suggests that the earliest known production of wine took place in sites in Georgia and Iran from as early as 6000 BC. Steeped in tradition, wine culture is all about history, region, Terroir. Yet, slowly but surely wine is getting hip: modern styles embrace technology and the Internet creates a democratizing platform for wine lovers and entrepreneurs.
This blog is about this new era of wine transformed by social media and fresh ideas. I call it Wine 2.0.
